Pivot at the Feet, On Demand

2026-06-01 · Improvements

What's New

  • A new Place pivot at bottom toggle now sits in both the Export and Bridge panels.
  • When on, exported characters and animated assets are aligned so the pivot lands at the feet — not the waist.
  • Enabled by default for rigged and animated assets, off by default for plain meshes.

Why It Matters

  • Drop-in compatibility with external animations from the Unity Asset Store, Mixamo, and similar libraries.
  • No more wrapping characters in an extra parent GameObject just to align the origin in Unity / Unreal / Blender.
  • Characters land cleanly on the ground without manual offset.

What You Get

  • Pivot point at the feet on every exported character (when enabled)
  • The choice — keep the original pivot, or switch to foot-level, per task type
  • Predictable retargeting with external animations

How to Use

  1. Open the Export or Bridge panel
  2. Toggle Place pivot at bottom on (or leave the default for rigged / animated assets)
  3. Export
